CBD is a wonderful nutritional supplement that’s well-tolerated by most people. It offers profound healing potential. The best way to optimise your CBD protocol is to know how and how much of it you should be using. Contrary to most medications, CBD does not necessarily give you “bigger” results when you take bigger doses. Here’s more about why, how, and how much CBD you should take.

Why take CBD?

Until recently, we knew that using CBD has improved people’s lives by their reports, only. However, as more time goes by, official health bodies are performing more studies into CBD and discovering explanations for the health benefits that CBD users have reported. They’re also discovering additional therapeutic potentials that they weren’t aware of, previously. CBD has been found to potentially assist with improving mental health conditions, reducing seizures, improving skin health, assisting gut health, improving sports recovery, and reducing the risk of injury.

How to actually take CBD

There is a product for every person’s preference. You can try flavorful and fruity candy gummies, the old and trusted CBD oil or drops, capsules that are easy to swallow, or topical ointments to apply directly to the skin. There are so many interesting ways to incorporate CBD into your life, that it fits effortlessly into almost any lifestyle. The trick to getting the best results lies in sourcing organic and additive-free CBD that is extracted without harsh chemicals. Our CBD is organically grown on a USDA approved farm in Colorado and watered by the rocky mountains.

Recommended dosages

As with any nutritional supplement, the correct dosages for CBD depend on many factors, including your reason for using it, the severity of your symptoms, other lifestyle considerations, and environmental factors. One study on CBD administered 1,500 mg of CBD to participants per day of CBD for 4 weeks. This high dosage did not cause any adverse reactions and there were no withdrawal symptoms after a 28-day period. Thus, CBD is considered safe. However, these are standard recommended dosages:

  • Anxiety: 300–600 mg orally daily
  • Bowel disease: 5 mg twice daily sublingual drops
  • Pain:  50–600 mg per day taken orally

Insomnia: 10 mg per 100 lbs of body weight one hour before bed

How much CBD should I take?

If you’re uncertain about your dosages, start with a standard beginner’s dose: 10 mg per 100 lbs of body weight. You can slowly increase that every 7-10 days. Keep a record of your symptoms; are you sleeping better? How are your energy levels? Do you feel more improvements on a lower dose versus a higher dose? “More” is not always better when it comes to CBD. Sometimes, a lower dose has a greater effect. The only way to know when you have achieved your ideal dose is to keep track of your symptoms. The good news is that even at very high doses, CBD is considered safe so you do have some room to experiment.
